Spring Break in Palm Springs

14 March 2009 274 views No Comment

Palm TreesPalm Springs in the past has not been as welcoming to college students during Spring Break. From the time that Sonny Bono was mayor, the city was aiming toward a less rambunctious crowd that would not ride into town wearing their G-strings on public display (per an ordinance enacted by Mayor Bono in 1991). But this Spring Break 2009, the times have changed.

College students ranging from as young as 18 were sent text messages by the city of Palm Springs to roll out the welcome mat again for Spring Breakers looking for a place to spend money and have fun. Palm Springs has some exciting attractions that college students would enjoy as well, including an exciting variety of shows, stadium-seating theaters, karaoke in downtown, a multitude of great restaurants to try, and other exciting things to do in the Palm Springs area.
