Hotel Zoso in Palm Springs
By: Deborah Amar
There are a lot of great places to stay in Palm Springs, but the majority of locations are not always right where the most exciting spots are. Picking the best location can sometimes cause for a hike in the price, but there are also great hotels and inns that are right where the fun is without the high prices.
Hotel Zoso is a great example of a hotel that offers reasonable prices for accommodation, while providing luxury of a resort, expected of Palm Springs.

Hotel Zoso offers luxury in the heart of Palm Springs with reasonable pricing. Hotel Zoso is located on Indian Canyon, which runs parallel to the main downtown drag, Palm Canyon. The hotel is within walking distance to the local movie theater, downtown shopping plaza, the Palm Springs Promenade, and other small shops and restaurants along Indian Canyon. Less than one block North of Hotel Zoso is a Spa Resort Casino, owned by the native band of Agua Caliente Indians. There are also gorgeous statues of Native American women and other art for visitors to view, which are located between the casino and the hotel.
Walking a short distance North from the Hotel Zoso (less than one block) is a street called Taquitz Canyon, which has a popular restaurant called Shermans. In addition to a regular dining menu, deli, and dessert selection, Shermans also offers a Kosher menu. The restaurant is conveniently located next to the movie theater, Regal Cinemas Palm Springs Stadium 9. There are also multiple small shops and restaurants located in the general area of the movie theater. During the Palm Springs International Film Festival each year, the Stadium 9 shows many of the featured films of the festival on the big screens with stadium seating.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before. Very nice rooms and right next to the casino. It really is right around the corner from the movie theater as well as a small shopping plaza. They have really great deals during the off season (mostly the summer). The place is a real classy joint – 2 thumbs up! Three if I had another
I loved that this hotel was so gay-friendly. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Palm Springs. It’s right near the downtown area.
