Downpours in the Valley Mean Snow for Aerial Tram
Palm Springs has been experiencing colder temperatures and rainy weather. Snow levels have even been dropping on the San Jacinto Mountains. According the the Palm Springs Desert Sun, levels in mountain ranges north of the San Jacintos were down to 4,000 feet this morning and a downpour was reported in Indio about 7:30 a.m., based on a California Highway Patrol Report (The Desert Sun).
As the Palm Springs season for rain and colder weather continues to take its toll on desert temperatures in the valley below the mountains, the Aerial Tram is soon to reap the benefits in snow. As a result the tram has now opened The Adventure Center at the Aerial Tram atop the San Jacinto Mountains of Palm Springs, which was previously closed due to a lack of snow. However, with the weather continuing to downpour on the valley below the mountain, the Aerial Tram has now opened the winter sports for those looking for a challenging cross-country skiing experience. According to the Aerial Tram weather report, there will continue to be snow for winter sports lovers, so The Adventure Center will remain open for skiing, snow camping, and other winter activities.
